Lloyd’s announced that Nick Gammage, 44, has been named as the new Head of Communications. He joins Lloyd’s from his former post as Director of Communications of the London Stock Exchange.
Gammage previously spent three years as Director of Communications at the Consumers’ Association and two years at Oftel in a similar post. He began his career as a journalist.
Julian James, Lloyd’s Director of World Wide Markets commented: “Nick brings to Lloyd’s a depth of communications experience from an extensive range of sectors, including financial and consumer. He joins Lloyd’s at an exciting time for both the industry and the Market in particular. Effective communications will continue to play an integral role at Lloyd’s at a time of improved transparency of the Market.”
Commenting on his appointment, Gammage stated: “I am delighted to be joining Lloyd’s at a time of great change and development. I am looking forward to playing a role in such an ambitious and dynamic institution, where reputation is critical.”
