The Insurance Bureau of Canada issued a bulletin confirming that the IBC and CGI are ready for the upcoming April 1, 2004 launch of the new MVR service that replaces MTO’s current electronic MVR service for P/C insurers, brokerages, adjusting firms and resellers.
The IBC said it made the announcement in order to clarify its February 5, 2004 press release, and to confirm “for the industry the continued participation of CGI in the delivery of MVR’s in Ontario.”
The bulletin noted that “CGI’s clients will benefit from the new service without having to change their own systems. Sign-up kits are being distributed by CGI to their insurance industry clients. Starting April 1, 2004, CGI will begin transitioning their clients over to the new service.”
It added that “CGI, the largest reseller of MVR information in Canada, has been involved in this project from the outset and has been an active and important participant in the testing of this new service. IBC is very pleased with the positive working relationship and commitment demonstrated by CGI.”
