The Navigators Group, Inc. has issued a bulletin commenting on the release of a report by Standard & Poor’s which ranks its subsidiary, Navigators Insurance Company, as the fourth largest U.S.-based ocean marine insurer and the 14th largest in the global market, based upon 2002 gross written premium.
CEO Stan Galanski commented, “Ocean marine is our largest and most long-standing area of specialization. We are proud that the Navigators brand is synonymous with underwriting expertise, prompt and fair claims settlement and quality insurance products. With the addition of the substantial marine account written in our Lloyd’s operation, Syndicate 1221, we believe Navigators, through its subsidiaries, is one of the top 10 ocean marine insurers in the world.”
