ACE Financial Solutions International (ACE FSI), one of the ACE Group of Companies, announced the appointment of Guy Swayne to the new post of Executive Vice President.
Swayne will be based in Bermuda and will be responsible for managing the ACE Financial Solutions businesses in London, Dublin and Sydney, reporting to ACE FSI President, Simon Burton. ACE FSI provides non-traditional insurance, reinsurance and risk financing solutions for companies outside the U.S., which are facing complex risk management issues. It has offices in Bermuda, the UK, Ireland and Australia.
Swayne has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined ACE in January 2000 as Senior VP ACE FSI. Just over a year later, in April 2001, he moved to London to establish a European presence for the ACE Financial Solutions business. Prior to joining ACE Swayne held positions as a broker at Aon Re Bermuda, Willis Faber New York and as an underwriter at Lloyds.
Commenting on the appointment, Burton stated: “I’m very pleased to be welcoming Guy back to Bermuda in this new post. Following his success in establishing our London office, Guy has the skills to further the strategic development of business in our European and Australian offices. Guy’s extensive experience will be instrumental in expanding the distribution of FSI’s insurance products and in our collaboration with ACE Global Re to deliver non-traditional reinsurance products to our clients.”
