Guy Carpenter & Company, Inc., the global risk and reinsurance specialist of the Marsh & McLennan Companies, announced the appointment of George Carrington as Senior Vice President in Guy Carpenter’s U.K. Casualty Specialty Practice.
“With his specialized knowledge and depth of experience, George will play a key role in strengthening our leadership position in this significant and growing business segment,” noted Andrew Marcell, Managing Director and head of the company’s International Casualty and Professional Liability Specialty Practices.
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Carrington was an active underwriter at the SVB Syndicate at Lloyds after serving as a treaty underwriter at Royal Re. He has over 20 years of reinsurance underwriting experience in casualty lines, particularly in management liability, medical malpractice and professional indemnity.
