British Columbia’s Barton Insurance Brokers Ltd., a subsidiary of Chicago-based Hub International Limited, announced that, effective Jan. 1, 2005, the company name will be Hub International Barton Limited.
“The name change is a result of a corporate-wide branding effort to build stronger brand awareness throughout North America,” said the announcement.
Barton Insurance was founded in 1948 and has been part of the Hub International group of companies since November 1998. President and CEO Craig Barton, commented: “HUB International Barton’s representatives in 49 locations continue to serve our clients with the most comprehensive insurance services including personal, commercial, marine, auto, life and employee benefits through a variety of insurance carriers. Being known as a Hub International company brings the additional strength of our association with one of the largest insurance brokerage firms in North America.”
