The U.K.-based Beazley Group announced that MarshMac veteran Dan Jones has been appointed as an independent non-executive Director to the Beazley Group Board, to take effect July 1. He will retire from Marsh in June.
Jones “has more than 20 years experience in insurance broking,” the bulletin noted. He has been with Johnson & Higgins and has served as Chairman and CEO for Marsh’s Europe/Middle East operations. Most recently he served as Vice Chairman of Marsh, Inc. with responsibilities that included all non-North American Operations.
Beazley CEO Andrew Beazley commented: “Dan has extensive knowledge and experience in the insurance industry and an impressive record of senior management positions. We are delighted that Dan has decided to join the Beazley Board and look forward to his contribution to the business.”
Jones responded: “I am pleased to be joining Beazley at such an exciting stage of their development and look forward to supporting the team in achieving their objectives.”
