Benfield Corporate Risk has appointed Marina Moore, an offshore construction risk expert, to its growing Energy Team.
“Marina brings a wealth of experience of upstream construction risks with her background as a leading underwriter in this class of business,” commented John Lapsley, chief executive of Benfield Corporate Risk. “With Marina joining we look forward to expanding our capabilities in the energy construction arena and to forging ever closer relationships with insurers.”
Moore has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry. She will be joining Benfield Corporate Risk in July 2006, after working for 23 years at Munich Re’s UK General Branch in London. For the last eight years she was responsible for their London offshore energy account. This position involved all aspects of risk underwriting and control of the predominantly construction risk book of business. Prior to this she worked as an underwriter in their Onshore Construction department. Before Munich Re, Ms. Moore also worked at Willis Corroon in their international construction team in London.
Having spent her early years in Germany, Ms. Moore is fluent in both English and German. She will be based at Benfield Corporate Risk’s London office.
