ACE announced the appointment of John Stanway as its UK & Ireland Regional Major Risks Casualty Manager. He joins the Company from Chubb, where he was most recently Regional Casualty Manager.
Prior to Chubb, Stanway worked with Independent and London and Edinburgh underwriting casualty business. He has a “wealth of experience and knowledge in the Major Risks casualty business,” said the bulletin, which “makes him ideally positioned to assist in the ongoing development of ACE’s regional Major Risks Casualty portfolio.” He will be based in ACE’s Manchester office.
Mark Aaron, Manager Casualty, ACE Europe, UK & Ireland, commented: “John will play a significant role in helping ACE to grow its regional Major Risks casualty business. ACE is one of very few insurers to have a Major Risks underwriting capability for casualty and property outside London. ACE has a distinct proposition for the Major Risks Casualty segment and John will help us to focus on development opportunities within this growing market.”
