InterResolve, an independent claims resolution specialist, and Aon Limited, the UK division of Chicago-based Aon Corp., announced that they have concluded a partnership “to provide UK corporate businesses with faster and more cost effective resolution of employers’ liability, public liability and fleet motor [auto] claims.”
Aon will be able to “offer its corporate clients and the insurance market direct access to InterResolve’s award winning Bodily Injury Claims Scheme, making it possible for firms to achieve significant reductions in costs and time taken to settle both simple and complex claims,” said the bulletin. The plan offers “fixed legal, medical and mediation costs for motor, employers’ and public liability claims resulting in third party transaction costs savings of between 30 percent and 80 percent in most cases, as well as reducing claims settlement time taken by as much as 18 months.”
InterResolve CEO Peter Ashdown-Barr called the agreement with Aon “a significant development” and proof that the “industry is taking up the challenge of improving the way injury claims are resolved.”
Paul Galvin, Managing Director of Aon Risk Management Solutions expressed Aon’s satisfaction with the new claims deal, indicating that it would “deliver immediate and direct cost savings to our clients by simplifying their claims process.” He also recognized the “wider benefit of being able to support a market initiative that will reduce the overall cost of the claims process for all parties.”
