Marsh UK announced that it has further enlarged the position of its FINPRO division in Scotland by hiring Aon’s Scottish Professional Risks team. The team will be based in Marsh’s offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh and will focus on client service and development across FINPRO National’s business in Scotland and the North of England.
FINPRO National provides specialist insurance and risk management solutions for clients in the professional and financial sector across the UK. Marsh has over 30 people in the FINPRO National business in Scotland.
Joining Marsh are Garry Hill, Mhairi Scott-Bennett, Shona Van Der Merwe and Robert Morris. Marsh gave their backgrounds as follows:
— Mr. Hill has worked in the insurance industry for over 11 years. He specialises in professional risks including directors’ and officers’ liability, professional indemnity and pension trustee liability.
— Ms. Scott-Bennett has over 10 years commercial broking and professional underwriting experience. Her specialist areas are office combined risks and professional indemnity insurance.
— Ms. Van Der Merwe specialises in office combined risks and professional indemnity insurance.
— Mr. Morris specialises in construction professional indemnity business, particularly design and build, architects, engineers and surveyors risks.
Chris Lay, Head of National at Marsh, welcomed the new team, indicating that they would add to the already strong “depth and breadth of Marsh’s resources and expertise in both insurance broking and business risk advice.”
So far Aon hasn’t commented on the defections.
