Newman Martin and Buchan (NMB), an independent Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, has appointed David Warne as a director of its marine division.
He moved to NMB after 26 years at Willis Group in May. Warne, who has spent his entire career as a specialist in marine hull insurance, will “be working alongside fellow director Patrick Atkins to continue the development of the ‘bluewater’ marine arm of the business,” said the bulletin.
Mike Beagley, managing director of NMB’s marine division, expressed his delight with Warne’s new position, indicating that broker would profit from his “specialist knowledge of the marine hull industry -” a sentiment strongly echoed by Warne. He cited the Company’s “independence, its commitment towards marine and offshore industries, and its philosophy,” as reasons he joined NMB.
