Richard Schneider, an 11-year veteran of Swiss Re, has been appointed Office Head of Swiss Brokers Mexico. He succeeds Carlos Boelsterli, who has assumed the role of Head of Client Management for Latin America.

In 1997, he transferred to the Latin America unit for contracts and corporate clients. In 2001, Mr. Schneider moved to the United States to work in Swiss Re’s Financial Services Solutions area for the American market.

He most recently served as the manager of facultative reinsurance for Mexico and Central America, and has “played a key role in the implementation of many projects and initiatives in Division Americas,” said Swiss Re.

Strebel noted that Schneider has been a “valued employee of Swiss Re for more than a decade,” and possesses “in-depth experience and expertise working with Swiss Re in various roles will provide solid support and structure for our Mexico-based clients.”
