ACE announced the appointment of two new Senior Underwriters in its Glasgow branch. Julie Dolla joins as Senior Property Underwriter from Zurich where she was a Property Underwriter within the corporate team. Gordon Knox joins as Senior Casualty Underwriter.
The new appointments follow ACE’s relocation of its Glasgow branch office to larger quarters in Broomielaw, “which houses the centralized service center for much of ACE European Group’s business.”
Dolla will be responsible for “managing ACE’s property account in Scotland and is looking to expand the company’s distribution channels within the market,” said the bulletin. ” She has 10 years experience of underwriting property risks, including a period spent working in the Australian insurance sector.”
Knox is responsible for managing and further developing ACE’s casualty account in Scotland. He previously spent eight years at AIG, including four of those as a Senior Casualty Underwriter within the Liabilities Division covering both Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Commenting on the new appointments Gordon Scouller, Regional Manager for ACE in Scotland said: “I am delighted to welcome Julie and Gordon to ACE as we develop our presence in Scotland. We are extremely well positioned to continue our excellent levels of service to brokers and clients and further grow our business in Scotland during 2008 and beyond.”
