Marsh announced the appointment of Jeremy D. Cooke to the new position of Global Head of Market Relationship Management (MRM). He will be based in London and will support Joe McSweeny, President, US/Canada Division; Alex Moczarski, President, International Division; and Sandy Vietor, President of Marsh’s Global Specialties. he will report directly to Moczarski. Cooke was previously Senior Adviser in Marsh’s Global Markets Practice.
Cooke noted that Marsh is “the largest broker in terms of premium volume,” and said he is looking forward to using that position to advantage. He indicated Marsh would “continue to enhance the delivery of global placement capabilities locally, and local placement capabilities globally,” and pledged “clear and consistent communication of our placement strategy to the markets.”
Chairman and CEO Dan Glaser singled out Cooke’s, “long and diverse market experience at senior levels,” indicating that it has made him “particularly well qualified to develop our fully integrated approach to market relationships globally. Clients and markets both benefit when we maximize our global reach and apply a unified, cohesive model to our market relationships.”
Marsh added that Cooke will also head MRM within the International Division, and that Adam Kagan has been appointed to head MRM for US/Canada, reporting to Cooke.
