Zurich Financial Services Group has appointed Karin Reiter (30, German citizen) as Group Corporate Responsibility Manager, effective May 1, 2009.
She will be responsible for consolidating and advancing Zurich’s Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy and activities. “A key focus of her work is on managing the Group’s Z Zurich Foundation and its partnerships with globally active Non-Profit-Organizations (NPOs) to address social and environmental challenges that are linked with Zurich’s business activities,” said the bulletin.
Reiter joined Zurich in 2004 and formerly held different positions within Zurich International Life’s (ZIL) Legal & Compliance department, lastly as Legal Counsel and responsible for the compliance function of ZIL’s international group protection unit. She holds a masters degree in law from the University of Zurich, and is currently pursuing advanced studies in CR at the University of Geneva.
