W. R. Berkley Insurance (Europe), Limited announced that it has named Javier Esteban Presidente Ejecutivo of its Sucursal en España branch located in Madrid, Spain. The appointment to this newly created position is effective immediately.
Esteban has more than 40 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance business, having served most recently as the CEO of the Spanish and Portuguese reinsurance operations of a leading reinsurance intermediary.
He graduated at Law by the Madrid Complutense University.
The bulletin noted that W. R. Berkley Europe was formed in 2003 as a London-based FSA authorized insurer It has “significantly expanded its product offering and geographic reach over the past six years. In addition to its operations in the United Kingdom, W. R. Berkley Europe has branches in Spain, Australia, Ireland and Norway.”
