Guy Carpenter & Company announced that it has named Victoria Carter as Vice Chairman of Guy Carpenter International. She will be “a key member of the Guy Carpenter International Leadership team and will be responsible for driving new business production across the International operations,” said the bulletin.
She will report to Henry Keeling, President and CEO of Guy Carpenter International.
Carter has more than 30 years experience in the reinsurance industry. She was the first female founder of a Lloyd’s intermediary and has operated in a number of senior executive positions within the broking sector. Most recently, she served as Chairman of UK & International operations of Towers Watson.
Carter will join Guy Carpenter “following completion of existing employment and notice obligations with Towers Watson,” the bulletin noted..
Guy Carpenter’s President and CEO Peter Zaffino noted that Carter would “play a critical role in capitalizing on the opportunity for international growth, which is a key component of our overall global strategy. She is a tremendous addition to the team. Her experience and expertise will strengthen our international business and demonstrates our ability to attract the leading talent in the industry to Guy Carpenter.”
