Marsh has formed an International Nuclear Practice for all nuclear clients based outside the US and Canada. It will be headed by Mark Popplewell, head of Marsh’s UK power and utilities practice, who will also work closely with Dan McGarvey, leader of the US Utility and Nuclear Practice.
Popplewell said: “Governments are set to undertake a massive investment in the construction of nuclear new build over the next 10 to 15 years to address both climate change concerns and the need for greater energy security. This will follow on to greatly increased investment in associated infrastructure and services, as well as in the management of nuclear decommissioning.”
Popplewell, who retains his present role, will report to Alex Moczarski, president of Marsh’s International Operations
