An Airbus A321 plane with over 150 passengers and crew crashed shortly before its scheduled arrival in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad early this morning.
Rescue workers attempting to reach the downed plane were reportedly using helicopters, as the crash site in the rugged hills above the city made ground access difficult.
In addition monsoon rains and severe weather conditions were hampering rescue attempts.
Early reports indicated that 20 bodies had been recovered, and that so far three injured people had been recovered and were hospitalized.
