Marsh’s London office announced the appointment of Cath Whitaker to the position of senior vice president in the International Division of its Global Market Relationship Management team.
She joins Marsh from Willis, where she was acting managing director of its strategic carrier relationships. Prior to that appointment, she was a senior director in Willis’ Latin American operations, based in São Paulo.
The bulletin noted that in her 10 year career in the industry, Whitaker “has been responsible for IT development and implementing large-scale change programs, mergers and acquisitions as well as cost reduction and business development programs. She has lived and worked across continental Europe, North America and Australia.”
Jeremy Cooke, Global Head of Marsh’s Market Relationship Management team, commented: “Cath’s varied experience in the insurance world will be a huge asset as we enhance our relationships and expand our services to insurance carriers. Her experience across a range of geographies will greatly enhance our ability to build a strong proposition for the market.”
Whitaker added: “During my career, I have seen that building effective and strong relationships with insurers boosts both operational efficiencies and the ability to develop quality products that benefit clients. I look forward to working with the rest of the team to improve these already strong relationships.”
