The UK’s Arc Legal Assistance, which specializes in providing coverage for legal expenses, has been appointed by insurance broker Lumley St. Aubyn Insurance Services to offer specialist legal protection for the air crew of low-cost airline Jet2.com.
“Lumley St. Aubyn is an existing provider of insurance services to Jet2.com and approached Arc Legal to develop a more comprehensive legal expenses solution for their air crew,” the bulletin explained. “This appointment represents Arc Legal’s first scheme in the specialized aircrew legal expenses sector and the company will work with Lumley St. Aubyn to support its plans to build a presence in the aviation sector.
“The Arc Legal air crew product provides insurance protection to cover professional fees and expenses relating to a range of issues that may arise during the course of professional air crew members conducting their duties.
“Coverage will include for example the costs arising for the defense of a prosecution brought against them or legal representation at an enquiry or industrial tribunal or in the event of a personal injury claim. Jet2.com air crew will also have access to a legal helpline staffed by experienced aviation law advisors.”
