Zurich Financial Services Group has appointed Angel Serna as global head of Corporate Communications, with effect July 1, 2011. In his new role, Serna will be responsible for Zurich’s communications function reporting to CEO Martin Senn.
He will be succeeding Pierre Goad, who the company said has decided to pursue an opportunity outside the company.
Serna joined Zurich in 2006 as head of Media Relations. Prior to joining Zurich, he worked for 12 years as correspondent and business editor at the Swiss daily newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
