Sean M. Fitzpatrick is joining Bermuda-based Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. in the new role of president and head of U.S. property/casualty retail insurance.
Fitzpatrick will be responsible for expanding Endurance’s presence in the U.S. specialty retail market.
He will join Endurance on Oct. 1, 2011, reporting to William M. Jewett, president of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd., and will be located in New York City.
Jewett said Fitzpatrick’s appointment will enable Judy Hart, head of Endurance Risk Solutions and insurance operations in Bermuda, to focus her full attention on the Bermuda market and Endurance’s healthcare practice.
Fitzpatrick has more than 20 years of experience in senior level insurance industry roles. Most recently, he was a senior vice president at The Hartford Financial Services Group where he led the company’s middle market segments. Prior to joining The Hartford, Fitzpatrick spent more than a decade with the Chubb Group and its Executive Risk subsidiary
