The UK-based Pioneer Underwriting Ltd, the MGA subsidiary of the independent specialist broker BMS Group, announced the appointment of Peter Coles as its new Senior Underwriter.
He has 25 years of insurance experience and expertise, specializing in Personal Accident and Health. He joins Pioneer from his previous position as Underwriting Director at Stanborough Underwriting, which he formed in 2009. Prior to this, Coles held roles at major underwriting companies including WR Berkeley, CNA, AIG and Aviva.
Pioneer Managing Director, Darren Doherty commented: “I am delighted to welcome Peter to Pioneer. We have been searching for a specialist underwriter in the Accident and Health arena and Peter fits the bill perfectly”.
The BMS Group is a specialist insurance group built around teams of experts in the fields of Wholesale, Reinsurance and Direct insurance. It recently launched a new Lloyd’s Managing General Agent, Pioneer Underwriting (Pioneer), in conjunction with Liberty Syndicates.
