Howden Broking Group, the broking arm of Hyperion Insurance Group, has appointed Brian Dallamore as a non-executive director of the board that oversees Howden’s retail operations in South East Asia.
Brian has over 32 years’ experience in Asia, having previously been regional managing director of Citibank’s Asia Pacific insurance broking business, and until 2010 he was senior technical advisor of Indonesia’s largest retail broker.
“The completion of the acquisition of Accette Insurance Group’s operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand, delivers a strong retail insurance platform from which to serve our clients,” said Tim Coles, CEO of Howden Broking Group. “Brian’s experience and knowledge of the region will be invaluable as we develop this platform.”
The acquisition of Accette’s Indonesian business remains subject to regulatory approval.
