Starr Companies announced the appointment of Jeffrey Hayman to the position of President of International Insurance Operations. He will be responsible for the overall growth, profitability, distribution, and product offerings outside of the United States, and will report directly to Maurice R. Greenberg, Chairman and CEO of Starr Insurance Holdings, Inc.
“Jeff possesses a strong understanding of international business and his experience, particularly in Asia, is a unique fit for our organization,” Greenberg noted. “As part of our senior team, we expect that he will contribute to our continued growth in the international marketplace.”
Hayman described Starr, as “an organization with a strong growth trajectory and a talented team of insurance leaders,” indicating that he is looking “forward to joining the organization and contributing to its success.”
Hayman has over thirty years of experience as an executive with leading insurance organizations. He has worked in the United States as well as Asia, and he is a director at both The Korea Society and The Japan Society.
He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science with honors from Saint Olaf College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hartford. He also holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.
