The Bermuda-based Argo Group International Holdings announced that Mark H. Rose has joined Argo Group as chief investment officer.
He brings to Argo Group “a broad knowledge of markets and asset classes and has experience investing, managing and trading for a number of different financial institutions,” said Group CEO Mark E. Watson III; adding that Rose “will play a key role in shaping the strategy of our investment portfolio with the aim of creating long-term growth in shareholder value through our investment performance.”
Prior to joining Argo Group, Rose served as a senior credit analyst at RBC Capital Markets. His previous experience includes trading and analyst roles at Deephaven Capital Management, Goldman Sachs & Co. and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Rose graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and is a CFA® charterholder.
