Ascot Underwriting Ltd. announced the appointment of Paul Taylor as its new Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of Ascot’s Risk Committee.
Taylor is the owner and managing director of Risk Management Options Ltd., a, consultancy business providing services in risk, insurance and corporate governance.
Prior to starting Risk Management Options he spent more than 20 years in risk management roles in large international companies, including Head of Risk Management and Insurance at Tetra Laval Group and Director of Risk Assurance at Morgan Crucible plc.
Taylor began his career at FM Global in engineering and underwriting roles in the UK, US,
Australia, Belgium and France. A Chartered Engineer, he served as chairman of AIRMIC in 2011/12, a past Vice-President of FERMA, and is currently a member of a UN working party on risk regulation (UN Economic Commission for EU).
Ascot’s CEO Andrew Brooks said he is delighted to welcome Taylor to the company’s Board, adding that he “brings a wealth of knowledge in risk management and insurance, and his international experience and global focus will be an asset to our business.”
Taylor said he’s very pleased with the appointment and is looking “forward to using my experience to help Ascot continue its success.”
