Aon Expands ‘WorldAware’ Travel Risk Management Program

June 11, 2013

Aon Risk Solutions, the global risk management business of Aon plc, announced that it has launched the “Aon WorldAware GeoAlert Map, a technology-based enhancement to WorldAware Solutions, Aon’s award-winning travel risk management platform.”

The bulletin described the enhanced product as providing clients “with an interactive map that reflects data from multiple intelligence sources and provides insight to help businesses safeguard employees from environmental, geographic and political threats occurring throughout the globe.

“The platform identifies risks, such as weather, terrorism and natural disasters, and provides alerts of situations that could pose a threat to employees or organizational assets. Analysts in the Crisis Operation Centre will collaborate with risk managers via email, SMS message or telephone.”

Michael Kiewski, director of Aon’s Crisis Operations Center, explained that the “GeoAlert Map displays the locations and profiles of all travelers stored in the WorldAware Travel Management System, replacing the need for multiple screens and disparate data sources. At its core, this interactive platform enhances awareness and empowers our clients with the ability to respond to an incident quickly, regardless of whether it threatens their daily workspace or an offsite location where an employee is visiting.”

Aon said: “WorldAware Solutions is an end-to-end travel risk management platform that incorporates travel risk analysis, training and awareness; risk-managed travel and alerts; and incident response. As part of the travel risk analysis, Aon’s 24/7 Crisis Operations Centre can activate company safe travel/insurance policies and contact relevant third parties. The provision of a unique client telephone number ensures all responses are initiated through the Crisis Operations Centre who are there to support travelers for any and every type of travel related incident.”
