MDS Group, the Iberian, Latin American and African insurance broker, announced that it has strengthened its Portuguese management team by appointing Mario Vinhas as Deputy Country Manager.
MDS said he would “help support and coordinate the activities of MDS Portugal and define strategic goals in conjunction with the MDS Group board. MDS also aims to utilize his skills to grow its portfolio, increase profitability and consolidate its relationships with customers and partners in the country.”
After graduating and working within retail management with Sonae, Vinhas joined Generali in 1997. He was appointed Deputy Commercial Director in 1999 before being promoted to the role of Commercial Director for Lisbon in 2001 and then Commercial Director with responsibility for brokers in 2005.
