AXA ART Americas Corporation announced the appointment of Roberto Emilio Teixeira as Country Manager for its Brazilian activities. He “will be responsible for all aspects of AXA Art’s operations in Brazil including business development, risk assessment and underwriting,” said the announcement. “He will also be the primary liaison with SulAmerica, AXA ART’s strategic partner in Brazil.”
Teixeira, a native Brazilian, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He brings to the position more than 15 years of experience in the fine art insurance field, and as an independent consultant to businesses in Brazil, the US and the UK. He will be based in São Paulo.
Christiane Fischer, President and CEO of AXA ART in the Americas noted Teixeira’s “international background and extensive experience in the fine art insurance arena,” which she said is “critical to our success in the Brazilian art insurance market.”
