Swiss Re Corporate Solutions announce the appointment of Kuno Linder as Country Manager Germany. He will be based in Munich and be in charge of the company’s interests in the German commercial insurance market, concentrating on the development and implementation of the company strategy to accelerate its growth in Germany.
“Germany is a priority for us,” said Tony Buckle, Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. “Our strategy for Germany – and the region – is to strengthen our local presence by bringing our products and services closer to local brokers and clients.” He added that Linder, “with his extensive business network and knowledge of the German market, is very well positioned to carry out our strategy.”
Linder has more than 25 years’ experience in insurance. He has spent most of his career in various roles in the German Primary market. He was CEO of Nationale Suisse Germany and also Country Manager of XL, where he built up its German organisation.
Linder will report to Reto Collenberg, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ Head for DACH, Benelux & CEE, who noted his “solid track record building and managing a profitable commercial insurance portfolio;” adding that he is a great addition to the team.”
The bulletin also said: “Tom Keist, who served as Country Manager Germany ad interim, will continue leading the regional specialties underwriting teams as Head Specialties EMEA.
