XL Group announced that it has reinforced its team in Switzerland in “response to the growing needs of multinational companies for Financial Lines coverage.” XL announced the enhancement of the team handling financial lines, and in addition presented its Financial Lines’ product offering to customers and market partners at an after-work event in Zurich.
Hendrik Jauer joined XL Group’s International Financial Lines team as Head of Switzerland in February 2014 to build and lead a new local Financial Lines team based in Zurich. He has more than 18 years of professional insurance experience in the financial lines area, and joined XL Group from AIG where he was the Financial Lines Manager responsible for Switzerland and Austria. Previously, he held different underwriting roles at Chubb Europe in Germany and Switzerland.
Michael Kuprianczyk joined XL Group in July as Senior Underwriter, International Financial Lines. He joined from AIG where he held a similar position. Kuprianczyk has over 12 years of professional experience working as a Financial Lines Underwriter and Financial Analyst in Switzerland and other markets for various global financial institutions including BNP Paribas Suisse, Torus Insurance Europe, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty and Chubb Insurance.
Alexander Gage joined XL Group as Head of Underwriting Management for International Financial Lines earlier this year. He is also based in Zurich, and, among other things, is responsible for global insurance programs and the cross-border insurance capabilities of International Financial Lines worldwide. Gage is a non-practicing barrister and is admitted to the Bar of England and Wales. He joins XL Group from Zurich Insurance Company where he was Head of Legal & Tax for International Product Underwriting.
Louise Dennerståhl, Head of XL Group’s International Financial Lines unit commented: “Company boards and senior leaders are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of having the right protection for personal liability exposures. The breadth of expertise in our new Financial Lines team in Switzerland will allow us to better cover a diverse range of risks with tailored products.”
