Ang Becomes Chief Representative for Markel International, Malaysia

Markel International has appointed Andy Ang as chief representative of Markel International in Malaysia.

Based in Markel International Labuan marketing office in Kuala Lumpur, Ang will focus on professional and financial risks as well as overseeing a wider scope of business development in Malaysia. He will report directly to Matthew Cannock, who heads Markel’s Asia Pacific operations.

Ang joins Markel from Overseas Assurance Corporation (Malaysia) Berhad where he was the liability senior manager based in Kuala Lumpur. He also held various senior roles in Malaysian insurance companies mainly focused on financial and casualty lines including AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad and BH Insurance (M) Berhad.
