Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc, a global provider of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits-related advice, brokerage and associated services, announced it is appointing Charlie Rozes as group finance director, to succeed Mike Reynolds.
JLT announced in August 2014 that Reynolds had been appointed chief executive officer of JLT Re, but would retain his position as group finance director until the appointment of his successor.
Rozes will join JLT on September 1, 2015 and, subject to the approval of the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority, will be appointed group finance director, reporting to Group Chief Executive Dominic Burke. Rozes will join the board as an executive director and will also be a member of the group executive committee. Reynolds will step down from the board on that date, but will remain a member of the group executive committee.
Rozes joins JLT from Barclays, where, since 2011, he has held the role of global head of investor relations. Prior to that, he was chief financial officer of Barclays UK Retail and Business Banking. He has also held senior roles at Bank of America, IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Commenting on Rozes’ appointment, Burke said:
“I am delighted to welcome Charlie to JLT. He is a highly regarded and extremely accomplished finance professional whose extensive experience in the financial services sector will be of immense value to JLT. Charlie will play a pivotal role in the next stage of JLT’s growth and I very much look forward to working with him.”
“I would like to thank Mike for the excellent contribution he made as group finance director, in particular, the instrumental role he played in the acquisition of Towers Watson Re in 2013. I have tremendous confidence in his ability to lead JLT Re and know that he will continue to take this important business from strength to strength.”
