Chubb Europe Renews Concours d’Elégance at Salon Privé Sponsorship

May 29, 2015

Salon Privé and Chubb Insurance Company of Europe SE announced that they have renewed their sponsorship agreement for the esteemed automotive event’s Concours and Tour d’Elégance.

Chubb said the “five-year agreement continues a hugely successful partnership, which, over the past six years, has seen the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance acknowledged as one of the top three classic car events in the world, alongside Pebble Beach Concours d’Elégance and Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza.”

“The news follows Salon Privé’s recent announcement that it is relocating to the magnificent Blenheim Palace in 2015, as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.” The event will take place from Thursday September 3rd to Saturday the 5th.

Salon Privé managing director Andrew Bagley commented: “We are thrilled to have renewed Chubb Insurance’s sponsorship of the wonderful Concours and Tour d’Elégance. Together, we’ve worked tirelessly to establish it as one of the most renowned events in the world. The overwhelmingly positive reaction from the classic car world, since we announced our move to Blenheim Palace, reinforces our belief that this year’s Salon Privé will be nothing but extraordinary.”

Simon Mobey, Chubb Insurance European private clients manager, pointed out that the one of the insurer’s specialties is coverage of “remarkable classics and supercars,” which makes Salon Privé “the perfect match for Chubb. Salon Privé has grown in stature and international recognition over the years and we’re delighted to have supported that success. The quality of the Concours cars, the judging panel and the hospitality on offer are unquestionably world-class. We’re looking forward to an exceptional event at Blenheim.”

The bulletin also noted that the event has “continued to attract an increasing portfolio of world-renowned luxury and lifestyle brands, from jewelry to executive jets to fine art.”

The event will run from Thursday to Saturday instead of Wednesday to Friday, with the Tour event on the Wednesday. “This move is designed to attract even more buyers, collectors and enthusiasts than before. The addition of the Saturday ‘public day’ will enable a ‘Speed & Style’ supercar competition from 1975 to-date, held in the Great Court. It will add an innovative and exciting new component to the event.

“Alongside longstanding elements of the three-day event, including the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance and Boodles Ladies’ Day, there are also some exciting firsts at this year’s Salon Privé.” This includes the opportunity for visitors to test drive many of the desirable cars in Blenheim’s grounds and even more spectacular cavalcades of the cars on show.”
