Brokenshire Appointed Global Chief Operating Officer of JLT Re

JLT Re, the London-based provider of reinsurance broking and capital solutions, has appointed Craig Brokenshire as global chief operating officer.

Brokenshire was previously COO of JLT Re’s Asia Pacific region, having joined JLT Re Australia as a director in 2011. He will report to Mike Reynolds, Global CEO of JLT Re. (JLT Re is part of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc.)

Brokenshire will continue to be located in Singapore in the short term with a plan to move to London later this year.

Reynolds said, “Craig has played a key role in our ongoing growth and expansion in the Asia Pacific region whilst also working on a number of important group wide initiatives and projects. His single-mindedness and proactive drive mean he is an excellent choice for this role. I am delighted he will now become global COO and look forward to building on our great working relationship.”

Brokenshire said, “Whilst I will be sad to leave my colleagues in Asia Pacific, this exciting opportunity will allow me to build on my work to date at JLT Re where we have had great support from both clients and markets…”

Before joining JLT Re in 2011, Brokenshire was COO at Aon Broking and APAC facultative COO at Aon Benfield, both in Singapore. He is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and has a Master in Business in Finance.
