Aspen Insurance, the insurance segment of Bermuda-based Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., has announced the appointment of Erik Armellino as international head of Onshore Energy & Construction.
Armellino has more than 20 years of experience managing a broad range of energy and construction insurance products. Reporting to Ann Haugh, president, Aspen International Insurance and chief operating officer, Aspen Insurance, Armellino will lead the expansion of Aspen International Insurance’s onshore energy and construction lines of business.
He was previously head of Underwriting Performance and head of Property Direct and Facultative at Advent Underwriting Ltd. Prior to this, he was global head of Heavy Industries and the deputy regional manager for the Energy & Construction segments at Liberty International. He has also held underwriting leadership positions with AIG in London and started his career as a risk engineer for Factory Mutual Group.
“This appointment expands further our international insurance product offering and we are delighted that Erik is joining Aspen Insurance at this exciting time for our business,” commented Ann Haugh.
