JLT Re, the London-based reinsurance broker and consultant, has appointed Stephen Punch as managing director, Asia Pacific, for Regional Clients and Retrocession. Punch is expected to join JLT Re in early 2017 after he has completed his contractual obligations with Willis Re where he is executive director.
He has also held key positions at Aon Benfield and Aon as well as working as an underwriter at Gen Re, resulting in over 20 years of experience in the re/insurance market. He will be based in JLT Re’s Sydney office but will spend time in JLT Re offices across the region.
Commenting on the appointment Stuart Beatty, CEO, JLT Re Asia Pacific, said, “We are delighted Stephen will be joining the team, Stephen has an excellent market reputation and is really enthusiastic about joining our growing capability in Asia Pacific. His knowledge of treaty, retrocession and credit and financial risks, working with multinational clients is a perfect fit for JLT Re.”
