The Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) announced the appointment of Antoinette “Toni” Gambonini as global property & casualty consultant.
In this role, Gambonini will work with WBN member companies on six continents in the areas of cross-border training, new business opportunities and strategic engagement with major insurance carriers.
She had held a similar role for Europe within WBN prior to this promotion. Gambonini joined WBN in March 2015 and is based in London.
Prior to joining WBN, Gambonini spent four years with Assurex Global as director of its Europe, Middle East and Africa Region, where she was responsible for facilitating relationships between members and carriers, wholesalers and brokers outside the network, as well as for global relationships with AIG and Chubb. Before that, she was director of Operations, Commercial & International for Barney & Barney in San Diego from 1985 to 2008 and built that company’s international desk.
“I’m very pleased that Toni is taking on this new role, which reflects not only the growth of our network in every part of the globe, but recognizes her expertise and significant accomplishments at WBN,” said Francie Starnes, WBN’s CEO. “Toni’s done an excellent job leading our European P&C business and strategic engagement with carriers,” Starnes said.
Founded in 1989, WBN has grown from nine firms in Western Europe to more than 100 firms spanning the globe and serving clients through 500-plus offices on six continents. WBN generates over $5.2 billion in property and casualty and employee benefits revenue annually
