Monica Ningen has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Swiss Re Canada and English Caribbean. Ningen succeeds Veronica Scotti, who has been named chairperson for Global Partnerships.
Ningen has 20 years of experience in the re/insurance industry. She began her career at reinsurance broker E.W. Blanch. She joined Swiss Re in 2006 when Swiss Re acquired GE Insurance Solutions. Since that time, she has held several leadership roles in Property Underwriting, most recently as head of Property Underwriting U.S. and Canada.
Ningen will be based in Toronto.
Scotti joined Swiss Re in 1999 as part of the Fox Pitt Kelton acquisition. Prior to her role in Canada, she held several leadership positions in Client Markets. She will relocate to Zurich for her new role.
