Canadian Broker Network(CBN), the Toronto-based network of independent insurance brokers, has appointed Andrew Kemp, co-president, CapriCMW Insurance Services Ltd., as the next CBN chairman.
He succeeds Mike Robinson, president, PBL Insurance Ltd., who is completing a two-year term as CBN chairman.
“On behalf of the CBN, I’d like to personally thank Mike for his unfailing commitment to CBN and our members. Mike worked tirelessly advancing CBN’s strategic priorities including carrier relationships, technology and business development,” said Kemp.
With roots in 2002 as a forum designed to exchange best practices, CBN members now represent more than C$1 billion (US$767 million) in property/casualty premiums as well as employee benefits and life and financial services, with over 50 offices across Canada and more than 1,500 employees.
CBN is a consortium of independent insurance brokerages including Cal LeGrow Insurance Ltd.; CapriCMW Insurance Services Ltd.; Lawrie Insurance Group Inc.; McLean Hallmark Insurance Group Ltd.; PBL Insurance Ltd.; Rogers Insurance Ltd.; Smith Petrie Carr & Scott Insurance Brokers Ltd.; Sharp Insurance, and Bullfrog Insurance, a digital commercial broker. Together, CBN members represent more than C$1 billion (US$767 million) in property/casualty premiums as well as employee benefits and life and financial services, with over 50 offices across Canada and more than 1,500 employees.
