Fairfax Financial Holdings announced that Jennifer Allen has been appointed chief financial officer. John Varnell, who was previously serving as interim chief financial officer of Fairfax, will continue serving as vice president, Corporate Development of Fairfax.
Varnell stepped in as interim CFO when David Bonham, vice president and CFO of Fairfax, died suddenly in May.
Allen has been with Fairfax for over 13 years, most recently serving as vice president of Fairfax, and CFO of both Fairfax India Holdings Corp. and Fairfax Africa Holdings Corp.
Fairfax also announced that Amy Sherk has been appointed CFO of Fairfax India and Fairfax Africa. Sherk has been with Fairfax for over 15 years, most recently serving as assistant vice president of Investment Accounting.
