Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is entering the executive and professional insurance lines market in France and has appointed Olivier Hamon as head of Financial Institutions and Management Liabilities and Alice Batchili as Professional Indemnity manager.
Hamon and Batchili, both formerly with AIG France, will spearhead BHSI’s launch of a range of products in France, including directors & officers liability, financial institutions D&O liability, professional indemnity, employment practices liability, crime, and cyber, with an initial focus on corporate and upper middle market risks.
Hamon has more than 12 years of insurance and financial industry experience, with a focus on Financial Lines for commercial and financial institutions in France. He has been with AIG since 2012, including as a senior financial lines underwriter and most recently as head of key commercial accounts. Earlier in his career he was a Financial Analyst at Coface Holding.
Batchili comes to BHSI with more than 15 years of industry experience. She began her career in 2008 at Aon Risk Solutions before joining AIG France in 2012 as a professional and cyber underwriter on major accounts and the middle market.
Both will be based in BHSI’s office in Paris.
In Europe, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance trades under Berkshire Hathaway European Insurance DAC and Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance Limited.
