Wisconsin state officials have estimated damages from a series of storms that ripped through the state nearly two weeks ago at $28.5 million.
Gov. Tommy Thompson is considering a request for federal disaster relief in 16 counties. The storms produced tornadoes, flooding, strong winds, hail and torrential rain, totally destroying some homes and businesses.
