Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired SiliconInsurance of Chicago. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded by Michael Flanagan, Silicon provides a full range of property/casualty and risk consulting services to emerging technology companies. They furnish e-commerce and dot-com companies the insurance tools unique to the high tech industry, including network/Internet liability, intellectual property coverage, software E&O and D&O. Mr. Flanagan will continue to oversee the operations in its current Chicago location and will report through James Gault, Chicago Regional Manager and President of Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc.

Gallagher & Co., an international insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, is headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, has offices in nine countries and does business in more than 100 countries around the world through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants. Gallagher is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AJG.
