Progressive, one of the largest auto insurance companies in Illinois, made its homeowners insurance product available to be sold exclusively by independent agents in Illinois starting the week of Sept. 19.
Initially, the product is being offered exclusively through nearly 100 independent agents representing Progressive in Illinois.
Agents selling Progressive’s homeowners product work with customers to determine accurate replacement costs by gathering information about the unique characteristics of the customer’s home, resulting in accurate, more competitive rates, according to John Barbagallo, homeowners general manager, Progressive.
The rating method used by Progressive includes taking into consideration each home’s unique characteristics, resulting in more accurate pricing, and policies that provide coverage to rebuild the home.
