Michigan-based Amerisure Insurance Company officially began its 90th anniversary celebration at a company event recently. As part of the event, Amerisure culminated its fund-raiser for the American Red Cross, to help those affected by the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Rick Russell, Amerisure President & CEO presented a check for $162,151.50 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. On hand to accept was Mike Maslyn, acting CEO of the American Red Cross, Southeastern Michigan Chapter.
Of the total amount, Amerisure donated the first $25,000, and matched the remaining contributions from employees, Partners for Success(SM) agencies and suppliers, dollar-for-dollar.
Russell said the Red Cross donation illustrates the spirit that has moved Amerisure forward for 90 years.
