Commerce Commissioner Jim Bernstein recently announced appointments to both the Governing Committee of the Minnesota Automobile Insurance Plan and the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Insurers’ Association board of directors.
Each new and reappointed member of the Automobile Insurance Plan will begin their term on March 15 and serve until March 14, 2004. Reappointed were Thomas O’Malley, Minneapolis, and Donald Peterson, Burnsville. New appointees are Margaret Dolan, Minneapolis, and Luayn Murphy, Mountain Lake.
The committee directs the operation of the Minnesota Automobile Insurance Plan, which provides for the placement of insurance for drivers and vehicle owners who are unable to obtain coverage in the standard market.
The term for current appointees to the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Insurers’ Association board of directors also runs from March 15 until March 14, 2004. Gary Thaden, St. Paul, and Brandon Miller, North St. Paul, are newly appointed employer representatives to the 12-member board.
